Indeed, I am happy to see the back of August. First, my heart goes out to our neighbours in Haiti. We felt the effects of the earthquake that struck Haiti. A scary experience for sure, one which I hope never to repeat. Soon after we had a visit from Tropical Storm Grace. Although it passed on the outskirts of the island, it still did some serious damage. Then, before we had time to get over Grace, Ida dumped heavy rains on the island before moving on and becoming a hurricane. In addition to all of this, I lost a relative and three co-workers to COVID.
COVID cases are once again on the rise. We were placed on semi-lockdown for two weeks, which involved seven no movement days. While on the days we were allowed to move around curfew began at 7:00pm and ended at 5:00 am.
I read twelve (12) books in and posted reviews for ten. Here is the list of books that were read and reviewed. What If You and Me was read in July.

I was wondering if Ida clipped you. Wow, and I didn’t realize you were close enough to feel the Haiti earthquake. Scary indeed. So sorry you lost people you knew well to Covid. Wishing you well and safe.
Way to go on finishing the New Release Challenge and doing great on all the others.
Definitely wishing you a much better September. 🙂
Yep she clipped us an left damage in her wake. We are on the same fault line as Haiti. Thanks, Sophia. I hopr you had a great September.
My deepest condolences.
Thanks Freda.
Sounds like August was tough ((HUGS)). Covid is relentless. We got dumped on by Ida last night. Floods, tornados, no power, but today, stunning weather and my power came back in time for me to logon for work. I need to try a Melissa Foster book. There are million of them at my library.
Yes, it was a tough month. I hope you get the chance to read her books. I think she is a great author.
Oh no I am so sorry to hear about your losses that you have had. And yeah Covid is on the rise again.. I honestly think we will have it longterm., I just think the symptoms eventually will get to the point of the common cold. That is just my guess though. So many sad things occurring right now. Hope you stay safe and well darling.
That is my guess to, we can only hope. I am definitely staying safe. Thanks.
You look like you had a fab month of reading. Here’s to a great September too.
Thank you.
You felt the earthquake? Wow. I’m not sure where you live. Sounds like you had one heck of an August though.
Yes I did. I call Jamaica home. We happen to be on the same fault line, Haiti is on, hence the reason we felt the effects. August was indeed a stressful month.
So sorry to hear August was so yuck. I truly hope September is full of blessings for you! I loved What If You & Me, too.
So far September is treating me ok, thanks.
