Welcome to my monthly wrap-up for January 2022.
I am back to work after a long and well deserved leave. January was a low keyed month for the most part. My biggest challenge is having to deal with the insurance company in respect to the repair of my motor vehicle. Getting money from these companies is like pulling teeth. Although I was not at fault I am the one who is getting the raw deal. I am hoping to have the matter resolved before the end of February.
In regards to reading January was a good month. I read fourteen books in all and reviewed twelve on the blog. Below are the list of books read and reviewed.
- [4 Jan] Only One Mistake by Natasha Madison ★★★★
- [5 Jan] The Sorority Murder by Allison Brennan ★★★★
- [8 Jan] The True Cowboy of Sunset Ridge by Maisey Yates ★★★★½
- [11 Jan] Wright Rival by K.A. Linde
- [13 Jan] Risky Little Affair by Rachael Brownell ★★★★½
- [14 Jan] Juniper Hill by Devney Perry ★★★★★
- [16 Jan] The Family You Make by Jill Shalvis ★★★★★
- [18 Jan] Green Envy by Aleatha Romig ★★★★
- [23 Jan] Knight of Runes by Ruth A. Casie ★★★★½
- [24 Jan] The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole ★★★½
- [27 Jan] A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole ★★★★
- [31 Jan] Munro by Kresley Cole ★★★★½

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time with the insurance company. This is why I think insurance is such a scam. They take your money, but when it comes time to pay, it’s a struggle. Good luck! I loved the Shalvis. Her books make me happy.
I hate dealing with insurance companies. I had a fender bender and wasn’t my fault and the insurance company refused to do anything acting like the claim didn’t exist. So I have to pay for it on my own….oh joy!!
Happy that you are back at work and hope that is going well for you.
I hate dealing with insurance claims. I hope it goes more smoothly. I loved The Sorority Murder and saw she is publishing a second Regan Merritt so it will be a series which I hoped. I love everything Jill Shalvis.

Reading and listening wise, you had an outstanding month. insurance companies suck. That is all.
Great job with reading! Hope your insurance company pulls it together and gets you what you’re entitled too. They can be so frustrating! Happy February!
Impressive! I am proud of you.
What a shame about that car insurance taking its sweet ol’ time with what they owe you! If you did the same with their payments, they’d be slapping you with late charges and sending the bill collectors after you. Hopefully, it will be over soon.
Good start to the year’s reading and challenges. I love seeing so many high ratings meaning you had some good reading in January.
Have a great February, Nadene!
You look like you had an okay reading month. Some fab books there too. Happy reading.
Oh I really enjoyed, The Family You Make as well!
Dealing with insurance companies is the worst. I don’t feel like I have ever come out ahead. It looks like you had a really good reading month. Have a great February!
Sorry to hear about your hassles with insurance. An motor accident is such a hassle even when it’s not your fault!
I loved The Family You Make and The Sorority Murder, too! You had a great month of reading! 🙂
Thanks Rachel. Dealing with insurance is definitely a hassle I could do with out. Hopefully all will be resolved soon.
