Monthly Wrap-Up: July

Posted on August 2, 2021 by Nadene @ Totally Addicted to Reading in Monthly Wrap-up / 20 Comments

This month has been a busy month work wise. It is a wonder I got any reading done.  I had to travel  310 km per day for four days for work.  At the end of those four days I was a total wreck.  In my last post I mentioned  that the hurricane season had begun. Well we got a little taste of Elsa. By the time she passed the island she had downgraded to a tropical storm.  There was flooding in some areas, but thank goodness there were no major issues.

I can’t believe that it has been two years since I got married, It seemed like only yesterday. On July 20th I celebrated my 2nd wedding anniversary.

I read twelve (12) books and reviewed ten.  Here is the list of books that were read and reviewed. The Burning Girls was read in June.

  1. [5 Jul] The Burning Girls by Rita Herron ★★★★½

  1. Glad the storm didn’t do any major damage. Hurricane season is so stressful when you live in that region. Congratulations on two years of wedded bliss! I loved the Loren book too. Hill was such a great hero and Andi was fabulous too.

  2. That is quite the commute you have for work. I can see why you would feel stressed. Glad you were safe and didn’t get flooded when Elsa went past. Ahhh, happy belated Anniversary. Best feeling ever when it feels both new and like it has always been. 🙂
Looks like you read some really good ones even if not as many. That Roni Loren is one I need to read since I love her stuff.

    Have a great August, Nadene!

  3. Happy anniversary to you both!
That is a ton of travel time!! I would invest in some audiobooks if you have to do that again. 🙂
Great job in reading with all that travel, WOW! Happy August!

  4. What a great month it looks like you had here. Congrats on being married two years. That is a wonderful achievement. It looks like you are making great progress with your reading challenges. Hope August is a wonderful one for you.
