Meet Sierra and Caleb.
On her 25th birthday, Sierra’s world gets turned upside down when she discovers a heartbreaking secret—she’s adopted. That one moment changes everything. It sent her on a journey to Montgavin where she was left at a fire station as a baby. Determined to uncover the truth about her past, Sierra buys a rundown house in town, hoping that fixing it up will help her piece her life back together.
What she doesn’t expect is Caleb.
Strong, steady, and quietly protective, Caleb enters her life when she needs a trustworthy contractor—but he quickly becomes something more. As walls come down and secrets start to surface, Sierra realizes that the answers she’s searching for might change everything she thought she knew… and that Caleb might be the one person she can truly lean on.
I really enjoyed this installment—Madison truly outdid herself with Broken Dreams. Sierra’s reaction to finding out her parents lied to her felt raw, real, and deeply authentic. Madison handled the emotional fallout with care. Her response to her adoptive parents, though painful and at times harsh, came from a place of deep hurt and betrayal. Madison captured that messy, complicated dynamic so well—it made Sierra’s journey even more powerful and relatable.
The romance hit all the right spots. Caleb is the kind of man you’d want by your side during the tough moments. From the beginning, he was that steady, grounding presence for Sierra. Even though it was clear he was drawn to her, he never rushed or pressured her. His patience, protectiveness, and unwavering support will have readers eating out of the palm of his hands. More than just her contractor, Caleb became her anchor, her confidant, her friend… and eventually, her lover. Their love story was gentle yet powerful, built on mutual respect and trust.
Now the romance isn’t the only thing that stands out. Madison adds a layer of suspense that elevates the story even further. Someone doesn’t want Sierra digging into her past, and that threat brings danger to her doorsteps. The mystery unfolds slowly, building tension with each chapter. It’s during these moments that Caleb’s fiercely protective side shines.
Forgotten Dreams is a must-read for anyone who enjoys emotional romance with a touch of mystery. It’s a story about finding where you come from, but even more than that—it’s about choosing who stands with you as you move forward. Heartfelt, suspenseful and a satisfying conclusion to the series.
Gregory Salinas and Savannah Peachwood once again deliver an outstanding performance. Their collaboration made for a smooth, immersive listen that captured all the emotion, tension, and chemistry Madison infused into Sierra and Caleb’s journey.
