Fire leaps from shops and homes all over town. Crimson is at war. And I’m the only one who can put out the flames.
When my friend Dog claimed a female from the brutal northern pack as his mate, he started a war.
I was furious with Dog at first. Then the northern wolves tried to destroy my bar in retaliation. This is my fight now, whether I like it or not.
To defeat them, we’ll need everyone in Crimson to stand side by side—vampires, wolves, and witches.
But the witches are distracted—struggling to contain an ancient evil hidden in their Victorian mansion. And the deadliest vampire in town won’t help me without a very good reason.
It will take more than magic to bring us all together. Can I protect my friends and unite the town before Crimson is torn apart?
Perfect for fans of Kim Richardson, Charlaine Harris, and Patricia Briggs, the Charley Underwood series is a thrilling urban fantasy adventure packed with danger, magic, found family, and twisting standalone mysteries.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Dog’s decision to claim a northern wolf as his mate sets everything in motion. I understood Charley’s frustration with Dog concerning the matter. However, the conflict turns personal when the northern pack retaliates by attacking her bar and kidnapping a young female wolf from Dog’s pack. After that, I was hooked. Then the deadliest vampire in town, who owes Dog a favor, refuses to help without a solid reason. That tension adds another layer and kept me invested in how Charley would navigate alliances and threats.

The witches are already stretched thin, trying to contain an ancient evil in their Victorian mansion. Meanwhile, outside factions are secretly working to awaken the same force. Their interference spills into Crimson, triggering strange, erratic behavior in some vampires, including Samuel, Charley’s love interest. Watching Samuel’s behavior shift and seeing how it strains their relationship added real emotional weight to the story.

What sets this book apart is the worldbuilding. Crimson feels alive. Vampires, wolves, and witches all have their agendas. Unity is difficult, and Charley has to find a way to hold everyone together while chaos spreads around her.

The plot is tense, fast-paced, and layered with emotion. Charley is fighting to protect her town, her allies, and her relationship with Samuel, all while the threat of war and ancient evil looms. In all of the chaos her powers are still growing, and she has to learn to control them.

Bloodlust Flames delivers another thrilling installment in the Charley Underwood series. Fans will be on the edge of their seats, eager to see how Crimson survives the coming storm.
