Cecy Robson has yet to let me down. I love everyone of her books that I have read. I swear anything she writes would turn to gold, even if it’s a simple shopping list. In A Cursed Noel, she proved once again the reason she’s on my must read author’s list.

The events in A Cursed Noel took place after Gone Hunting. Aric’s father was murdered, and he is not handling the loss well. He buries his pain by slaughtering those who were directly and indirectly responsible for his father’s death. However, the more he kills, the more he spirals out of control. No matter how many vicious monsters he kills, the pain remains, which plunges him into further despair. At his wit’s end on how to handle Aric’s self destruction, his pack mate sought the help of the town hag Mimi.
Mimi casts a spell that will see Aric transported to a different timeline and place. A place where everyone is in the festive holiday mode and where the love of his Celia lives. Celia and her siblings are in peril from an unseen magical force, and Aric is in a race against time to save them and destroy the spell.
In true Robson style, A Cursed Noel delivered a story filled with humour, adventure and magic. It pulls you in and keeps you glued to the pages until the very end.
Since the death of his father, Aric has not been the same. The only person who could calm his soul and help him come to terms with his loss was Celia. This book provides a good place to start for readers new to the series, while fans will get an inside look into their lives prior to the events in Sealed by a Curse.
Celia’s siblings made an appearance and once again Taran had me laughing out loud with her actions and snarky remarks. Once again, it was fun connecting with the characters in their teenage years. Their few years older than when they appeared in Gone Hunting. I enjoyed how they collectively dealt with the threat. A threat, which they knew nothing about until Aric brought it to their attention. The gritty action kept me on the edge of my seat.
It would have been nice if more information was made available regarding the witch responsible for the spell that was cast on Celia and her siblings. The story ended on a bittersweet note and left me craving for more of Aric and Celia.
Overall, A Cursed Noel made a wonderful addition to this beloved series. A must read for both newcomers and fans of the series.

Yes from the moment Sealed with a Curse released I have felt the same. Fantastic review.
I love werewolves, and how cool this has a Christmas element too! I think Mimi the hag sounds interesting. Glad this was great! Oh and I love the name of this series too- Weird Girls 🙂
I love this series and I’ve got this one on my HoHoHoRAT challenge pile. I’m so glad the sisters are all in the story.
What a wonderful addition to the series, and so good that it left you wanting more.
Yes. This series is so good.
I read a couple of the books in this series so I’ll have to give this one a go at some point.
I hope you get the chance to do so.
What a fantastic review Nadene, thanks now I know what all the fuss is about 😉
I have only read a couple of Cecy Robson’s books and they were contemporary romances. I really need to give her urban fantasy books a try. Great review!
