From award-winning author Toni Anderson comes her latest explosive Romantic Thriller, COLD SPITE, where FBI agents are pitted against a former Navy SEAL gone rogue.
When FBI Agent Delilah Quinn survives an attempt on her life, she pretends to be dead in order to outwit her attacker. There is only one person she can turn to for help—a man she never wanted to see again…a man who abandoned her five years ago and left her heartbroken. A man definitely on the killer’s hit list.
FBI Hostage Rescue Operator Cas Demarco lives with the burning regret of choosing to join HRT and leaving Delilah behind. News of her death devastates him. Then she calls him out of the blue and he can’t help but seize this one last chance to make things right.
With both Delilah and Cas targeted for death, a task force is set up to catch their would-be killer, who they believe is a disgraced former Navy SEAL they helped convict of drug trafficking. Out of prison and on a ruthless quest for retribution, the former SEAL is eliminating everyone who wronged him—without leaving a shred of evidence behind.
Can Delilah and Cas prove who’s responsible for the attempts on their lives and have a second chance at a future together? Or will the rogue ex-SEAL double-down on his promise to destroy them both?

In “Cold Spite,” Anderson plunges her readers into a thrilling chase of wits between the protagonists and a vengeful ex-Navy SEAL. Delilah and Cas past undercover mission to dismantle a drug cartel saw them falling in love with each other. Their partnership was formidable, yet Cas’s insecurities drove a wedge between them, ending their romance and leaving both heartbroken.
Five years on, the shadow of danger looms again, bringing a vengeful figure from their past to their doorstep. Despite the wounds of their past, Cas is the only one Delilah knows she can rely on to keep her safe and defuse the looming threat. Regret lingers heavily, particularly for Cas. Delilah struggles to move past the hurt he inflicted. Yet, in the face of their current dangerous situation, their reunion paves the way for healing, thus offering them a shot at mending fences and embracing a second chance at a happy ending.
The story’s suspense kept me riveted throughout. Delilah’s feigned death and the antagonist’s pursuit of Cas and others, whom he held responsible for his imprisonment, escalated the tension. As the plot unfolds, it’s intriguing to ponder how the villain consistently remained a step ahead, leaving no trace behind.
The story came packed with twists, turns, and surprises at every corner. Filled with action and high-stakes drama, Cold Spite will keep you flipping through the pages, eager to see what’s coming next.
Fans of romantic suspense will enjoy this latest offering from Toni Anderson. I look forward to the next book in the series.
