Pieces of Me is the ninth book in the Wilder Brothers series. Each book works well as a standalone. I am fairly new to the series. This is the second book I am reading, the first being Forever for Us.

What’s the worst that could happen if you chose to give into your feelings and sleep with your best friend’s sister? Well in Gabriel Wilder and Bria Ashford’s world tragedy struck changing their lives unexpectedly. Not able to handle the change, Gabriel shut himself off from the world and attempted to find solace in alcohol. However, with every action there is always consequences. A fact Gabriel will discover when Briar came back into his life eight months after the terrible tragedy. This just might be the catalyst to end the destructive journey of guilt and self-pity

Briar and Gabriel had a lot to work through and they had a long road to travel. It took a while, but Gabriel finally recognizes that the guilt he bore was misplaced. While he can’t change what occurred in the past, he chose to embrace the changes thus paving the way for a happier future.
