Billionaire Auction by Debbie White is a sweet romantic story about a nurse who met the man of her dreams when she bid on him at a charity auction.
Jennifer Palmer is a registered nurse who helps at the kennel on her days off. Therefore, when her best friend and roommate approached her about taking part in an auction to raise funds for the Animal Defense League, there was no hesitation on her part. The one thing she was not looking for from this venture was any romantic entanglements. Fate however had different plans.
Chase Morrow is a single dad and the billionaire on whom Jenny placed her bid. He is not your typical billionaire in that he was not arrogant. His laid-back personality and the fact he wore his heart on his sleeve endeared him to me.
.
I found this to be an interesting story. However, an indecisive and insecure heroine took away from my enjoyment. I understand that hurt from a previous relationship would make one cautious regarding romantic entanglements, but Jenny actions were extreme. Thankfully, the hero helped to balance out her attitude with his patience. It also helped that her best friend could provide the guidance needed to put her on the right path. Thank goodness for friends with a positive attitude. Due to her actions, I had difficulty accepting that her declarations of love for Chase were genuine.
If you love steamy romances, then this book may not be for you. This was squeaky clean, which was not a problem for me.
Conclusions/Recommendations
Overall, this was not a bad read. It may not have delivered all I hoped for, but I still I had a good time. If you enjoy clean romances centered on family and friendships, you may enjoy Billionaire Auction.

I can understand your feelings about the heroine
People bidding on other people at charity auctions always cracks me up. I can’t imagine what I would do with him once I bought him. I mean I could think of a few things but don’t know if he would be ok with it. lol
yay for a billiioniaire romance…love em!! I really struggle with indecisive heroines sometimes. I mean it depends on how they are written but most of the time they drive me bat crazy hehe
That cover and bow tie jump right out at me, and the title of the book is so catchy. Sorry this one didn’t work as well as you would have liked. Hugs and happy Tuesday! RO
Being a billionaire and all I would wish he could whisk me away somewhere pretty to have dinner
Yeah I can’t stand those kinds of wishy washy whiny heroines, yes you’ve been hurt news flash everyone else has too!
Sounds like a beach read. great review.
I don’t mind a clean romance, but the wishy washy heroine would get to me. I could tell by the excerpt she’d be too indecisive for me, but I do love a bachelor auction story!
Great review. Thanks for sharing.
