Destiny will find you.
Izzy has always loved the freedom and adventure of life on the road, but she’s recently decided to settle down—as much as a rogue wolf can. When her boyfriend gets her a job working at a hot Shifter bar, she runs into the last person on earth she expected to see again.
Jericho isn’t the famous rock star he once was, though he still plays in a local band and loves to party. Beautiful women come and go, but music is his only passion—until a sassy redhead named Isabelle Monroe shows up unexpectedly.
Fate reunites two former friends living with one foot in the present and the other in the past. But will they have a future when one of them is forced to choose between life and death? Old habits die hard, and sometimes the toughest addictions to shake are the ones that control our hearts.

When I chose to read and review this title my choice was not based on my knowledge of the author’s work as I had no prior information in regards to her. My choice was based on the blurb and my love of paranormal romance. Based on the information contained in the blurb I figured that Five Weeks would be an interesting read. Well boy was I wrong, it was more than interesting. Five Weeks is one scintillating read.Five Weeks is the third book in the Seven series, however it can be read as a stand-alone. It’s a story of love, betrayal, acceptance and re-discovery of self.

The main characters were easy to relate to. The way in which they were portrayed made it easy for me to connect with them. Isabelle (Izzy) and Jericho are great together. They have been friends for a very long time. They both cared about each other but they were both afraid to cross the lines of friendship.  Izzy a wolf shifter feared rejection as she was rejected by her own family for being different. She is a loner and never saw herself as part of a pack. As such she is always on the move, however that would change when she started working in a shifter bar and her past in he form of Jericho caught up with her.Jericho a rock star and a wolf shifter on the other hand had a fear of commitment.   He had spent the past decade of his life regretting his loss of Izzy. The loss was to his rock-star lifestyle which ultimately proved to be destructive. Jericho is very protective of Izzy and would willingly give his his life to save her.The story addressed real life issues such as drug addiction and drug and human trafficking which helped to make the story realistic. It flowed and the pace was fine, however there were parts when it moved a bit slow for my liking. The story was good enough to hold my attention to the very end.If love paranormal romance and like reading about hot shifters then you need to get a copy of Five Weeks and if you are new to the series like myself then it would not hurt to get the prior books in the series.
He slipped a pink glow necklace
around my neck and twisted two around my wrists as bracelets “This way I can spot you easily in the crowd if we get separated.”
“Does this normally go on in Austin?” “Nope. First time. Hopefully nobody gets killed and we can do it again.”A new band came on, and as the rhythmic beat thumped, Jericho tugged my hand and led me to the edge of the woods. The pink glow from my stick illuminated his face, and he closed in on me with a carnal look in his hypnotic eyes. Slow. Steady. Watching my lips. I couldn’t breathe. I licked my lips nervously as the energy pulsed between us. He curved his right hand around the back of my neck and grazed his callused fingers across my nape. I shivered, and a rush of desire moved through me like strong alcohol.Jericho closed his eyes and drew in a deep breath through his nose. He licked his lips and leaned in close, whispering against my ear. “You’re going into heat soon, aren’t
you?” I nodded and his fingers curled in,
sending a thrill through my body.
“Maybe you shouldn’t be here,” he
breathed. The music swelled, and laser lights beamed through the crowd, briefly passing over us. Jericho moved closer, and I placed my hands on his bare chest. My fingers explored his firm abs and dared to move lower until they slipped inside his jeans. He sucked in his stomach and hissed through his teeth. “Is it that obvious?” I asked. His mouth moved away and paused on my cheek. “My brothers can’t tell—not even Austin, and he’s an alpha. Otherwise they would have mentioned it. He must not have a strong nose like he claims.”
“Then how is it you know?” “You have that look. I’ve seen that look. I remember that look.” His left hand traveled to my hip and tightened.
