Meant for Stone by Natasha Madison is the first book in the Meant For series. A spin-off of the author’s Hollywood Royalty and This Is series. This book works well as a stand-alone. However, to learn more about most of the characters appearing in this release, picking up the books in the past series will help. In Meant for Stone, where hockey meets Hollywood, readers receive a story filled with spice, humour, and emotion.

Ryleigh Growing up in Hollywood, I was surrounded by liars and phonies. So when I got my law degree, I knew I wanted to work as a district attorney.Busy days turned to long nights—I was on my way up the ladder. Then he happened.Bullied his way into my life as if there was no choice.Suddenly everything I thought I wanted wasn’t as important.
Stone I had one thing on my mind and that was never going to change: The game. The only goal I had was beating the records set by my family.I didn’t have time for anything else.Until she walked in the room. The earth shifted, just like the stories said it would.I said it wouldn’t happen—not to me.I didn’t have the time, but now she was the only thing on my mind.I knew it was her.Now I had to convince her.
Bring on the spice. I have read several of the author’s books, and this one is her spiciest to date. Readers planning to pick this one up, don’t be surprised if your reading device overheats. For a moment there, I thought mine would explode.
In this newest release from Madison, readers will meet Stone Richards and Ryleigh Beckett. Stone is a product of hockey royalty, while Ryleigh grew up in the world of Hollywood. Now, while Stone followed family tradition and became a hockey player, Ryleigh chose a career in the legal world. She currently works as an assistant district attorney and envisions herself becoming the next district attorney. So romance was definitely not a priority for her. However, she never counted on Stone’s persistence.
From the moment Stone laid eyes on Ryleigh, he knew she was the one for him, if only he could convince her. Not one to give up, he pulled out all the stops to win her over. Soon, Ryleigh will find herself succumbing to the charms of the handsome and sexy hockey player.
Natasha Madison, delivered a romantic tale that was bold, angsty, and intense. From the moment I started reading, I was curious to learn how things would turn out for the featured couple. Characters from previous novels made an appearance. Some of whom I had the pleasure of reading their stories and others whose stories I have yet to read. It was fun reconnecting with the familiar characters. Stone and Ryleigh’s relationship will capture the hearts of readers. Their romance developed nicely, however, fear, distance, and a lack of communication plagued its growth.
One of my favourite aspects of the author’s writings is how she always focuses on families in her storylines, and Meant for Stone was no exception. The banter between the family members will have readers laughing.
Stone’s dedication to winning Ryleigh’s heart will have readers swooning. He pulled out all the stops. Distance would not hinder him. Stone’s feelings for Ryleigh permeated the pages of the book. Now, while one is aware that Ryleigh is attracted to Stone, and she enjoys spending time with him, one has difficulty pinpointing her true feelings for him. It wasn’t until near the end that one knew how she truly felt. I wasn’t a Ryleigh fan in the beginning, and it took me a while to warm up to her. Honestly, I thought Stone deserved better. But, alas, the heart wants what it wants.
Although I am not a fan of the heroine, I enjoyed the story and thought it was a solid read.

Reading this book contributed to these challenges:
Did you purchase this for free or borrow it from KU? I just started listening to a few audio this week and it was just porn without plot or any character development in the 14% I read before DNF. Not this author.
I borrowed it through KU. Which ones did you attempt to listen?
Glad you still enjoyed it. I struggle when I don’t connect with or like the main characters in a romance.
don’t mind spicy if the main characters are well developed and likable, and if their relationship arc is interesting. Otherwise the too spicy scenes can get a little annoying imo.
