In one second, my life disappeared.
My past. My memories. My future.
The only certainty I have from the last three years is that my older brother is dead, and I am the only eyewitness.
In order to protect the case, the lawyers demand that no one give me any information about my life . . . I must remember on my own. My only help comes from my brother’s best friend and world-renowned investigative reporter, Spencer Cross.
He has no idea how many nights I’ve spent dreaming of his name—and his body—next to mine.
Now we’re a team and our goal is to recover my memories and retrace my past. But each day we spend together, he’s looking at me as more than his friend’s little sister and I find it harder to want my old life back. Instead I’m wishing for a new one–with him. His kiss feels like home. His arms make me feel safe, and I never want this to end.
As my memories return, forcing me to face my future, everything falls apart... especially when I find an engagement ring hidden in my apartment. I have no idea who gave it to me, or what it means about my past.
I may have asked Spencer to help me remember, but now I wish I could forget.
I rarely have the desire to reread a book, no matter how much I enjoyed it. However, with Help Me Remember, I had an inexplicable urge to read it all over again.
This story took me on quite the emotional journey. It introduced me to awesome characters and delivered a romance that was heartbreaking and sweet. The story showed that even if your brain forgets the one you love, your heart will always remember the one you are with.
meant to be with.
It’s hard imagining losing one’s memory. I knew I would be frustrated trying to Remember and not being able to put the pieces together. This is exactly how Brielle felt. She had no memory of the last three years of her life. It was hard knowing her brother died, but what made it worse was learning she was the sole witness and she couldn’t remember what happened. Then she discovered she may have been engaged, but has no clue as to the identity of the mystery fiancée. Amid it all, adding to her confused state and complicating the situation further, she grew closer to her childhood crush.
Her friends and family rallied around her to trying to help in their own way without providing her any information about her past.
It warmed my heart watching how the romance unfolded. Though sometimes my heart broke for them as they both try to cope with the complexities of her memory loss. Told from the POVs of the main characters, one gains clarity regarding the characters’ mindset. One shares in their pain, frustrations, and every emotional turbulence they experience. Every aspect of the story had me on the edge of my seat. I wondered at Brielle’s reaction when her memory came back. Also, I wondered when the person responsible for her brother’s death would reappear.
A beautiful, gripping and emotional read, Help Me Remember is one of those stories where you can’t wait to see how it ends, but you wish it never does.

Reading this book contributed to these challenges:

Nadene that was a FANTASTIC review. I too hardly ever want to re-read a book so that first caught me attention and I love books that feature amnesia how awful to lose your memories, almost like losing your soul. I’m definitely checking this one out Thanks
Lovely review Nadene. It sounds like this one is a keeper.
Thanks Kim. It is definitely a keeper.
I really enjoy this author but I generally don’t like amnesia stories.
I get you. I thought this one was well done.
It says a lot when you want to re-read a book, as there are so many books out there.
Yes it does.
You make me want to go back and re read some of my favorites too.
Aww! That’s great.
Wow, it tempted you to re-read it. I love it when a book makes me want to jump back into the story again. The way you describe the mystery and her memory loss does sound fab.
