But that’s exactly the situation I find myself in with Dr. Bennett Lawson.
The ridiculously gorgeous, broody billionaire I kissed years ago is asking to have a baby with me.
We both have our reasons for wanting this and with our ugly pasts, it’s an undeniably convenient arrangement.
No love. No relationship. Strictly business.
Now I’m living with him and pretending every searing touch, whispered word, and moaned breath is all in the name of our contract and nothing more.
Even as it becomes harder to keep our hands to ourselves and our feelings separate.
But when that stick shines with two pink lines, we both know what we've grown addicted to has to stop.
Except what happens when everything starts to fall apart and what we promised would never happen becomes the one thing we can no longer live without?

“Undeniably Convenient” is my introduction to J. Saman’s work. it is the first book in the Boston’s Irresistible Billionaire series. As I delved into the book, I discovered it was a spin-off from another series where the heroine had appeared as a child in one of its installments.
Katy, a trauma surgery resident, yearns for two things: to become a mother and to secure a fellowship. After a painful past relationship, she decides to pursue motherhood through a sperm donor. Bennett, a trauma surgeon, comes back to Boston to lead the trauma department. Scarred by deceit and betrayal, he shuns relationships but harbors a deep desire to be a father.
Upon learning of Katy’s wish for a child, Bennett proposed a plan that would fulfill both their desires. However, it required them to not only cohabit but to conceive the child through traditional means while avoiding romantic entanglements. Given Katy and Bennett’s past, this arrangement wouldn’t be difficult. The real challenge would lie in avoiding romantic complications, considering the intense chemistry they shared. It was indeed a test for both of them.
Katy and Bennett were a delightful couple. Their interactions were thoroughly entertaining and often had me laughing at their antics. Their romance unfolded sweetly, with a slow burn and plenty of spicy moments. It took some time for them to recognize their feelings, hindered by insecurities stemming from previous relationships.
The secondary characters gave depth to the story. Katy has an extensive family, many of whom aren’t related by blood. Nonetheless, they were united in their support for her and her choices. They might not always concur, but they supported her unconditionally. The introduction to these characters was delightful, leaving me eager to explore their individual stories.
The author included a suspenseful arc that shed light on Bennett’s past, illustrating that not everyone in your social circle welcomes your successes. I was disappointed with how this aspect of the story was dealt, most of which was handled off page.
All in All, “Undeniably Convenient” is a compelling read that I would recommend to fans of spicy romance.
