What’s The Chore You Resent Having To Do The Most?
When I saw the title of this week’s post I busted out laughing. You probably wondering why? Well, at the time of reading the post, I was psyching up myself to the chore I hate most in the world: ironing. I think ironing is the cruelest form of punishment ever invented. I always wonder to myself why can’t all our clothes be wrinkle free, so we don’t have to endure the rigours associated with ironing. This may sound weird, but give me laundry or dusting any day over ironing.
There is nothing about ironing I enjoy. First, you have the difficult materials that require sprinkling or the use of spray starch. Don’t get me started on dress pants that have to be perfectly seamed. Not to mention those with areas that are difficult to access. I hate it so much, I deliberately seek to purchase clothes that require absolutely no ironing at all. However, I still cannot escape the chore. There is always a generous relative or friend who buys me clothes, which requires me to be hunched over an ironing board for several hours.

Cleaning the bathroom is my least favorite chore. Only because there’s a lot of bending and crouching to get the bottom of the tub clean and cleaning the bottom and behind the toilet.
uh yeah, I don’t much get clothes which need ironing. BUT I do lots of ironing for sewing and quilting.
I don’t iron. Okay maybe once in a great while, I pull out the iron but it is very rare. I can wear jeans to work so I don’t really have clothes that need to be ironed. I would say my least favorite chore is dishes. They never end.
Ah, I wish I could wear jeans to work everyday.

I don’t iron and haven’t for years. I won’t even go near clothes that need ironing. If I did iron it would probably be my #1.
I hate vacuuming. Not in general, but I have to do it so much with my furry dogs and it I still see hair blow by right after.

Yes! Ironing is my least-liked chore, too. It’s a little better with an audiobook, but not much. 🙂

To think that my mom used to LOVE ironing when she was younger (now she has so many health and age-related problems). She says it relaxed her. UGH. I don’t take after her…I let the stuff pile up until I can’t escape the chore any longer…
