Captured by her Cougar is the second book in the Cougar Creek Mates series. It picks up from where book one ended. What I did not mention in my review of Claimed by her Cougar is that the series features four brothers (all cougar shifters), Rath, Storm, Cobalt and Flint. Captured by her Cougar is Storm’s story.
Storm is a city boy at heart. Life in the wilderness is not his thing. He returned to Cougar Creek for one reason to help his brothers oversee the gathering and assist in the protection of the community. Storm is burning with anger after the recent attack on their territory. He is searching for answers regarding the attack and the one person who he believes can give him the answers he is seeking is Gabi. Gabi is the half-sister of the man who led the attack. Storm is convinced that she was in league with Archangel. He does not trust her and the fact she is human did not help her cause. Will she be able to convince him of her innocence?
Storm will learn that Gabi was difficult to break. No matter what he did, to break her she gave back in spades. She proved to be smart and resilient. I loved how she refused to show fear in the face of her captivity. She had no fear of Storm’s true nature.
Watching these two slowly develop feelings for each other was a delight. Because of his issues with humans, Storm had a hard time trusting his feelings for Gabi. Eventually, he came to terms with it. The more time they spent in each other, company the more the fire burned between them.
I enjoyed this installment more than I did the previous book. Although the connection between the characters were instant, their feelings for each other grew over time, which I found refreshing. Ms. Heaton’s fight scenes are usually exciting and the one presented here was no different. I was on the edge of my seat anticipating the outcome.
Conclusion/Recommendation
This was a quick and enjoyable read. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. If you enjoy fast paced, sexy paranormal romance then you will love Captured by Her Cougar.

I haven’t read a Felicity Heaton book in ages! Which is kind of sad, in a way! She was one of the first PNR authors I tried way back when.
I’m definitely adding this series to my TBR, it sounds really good!
Sounds like a good series. It is great that you liked this one even more than the first.
I do believe it is. The second book was definitely an improvement.
