Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of MizB of A Daily Rhythm.. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
โข Grab your current read
โข Open to a random page
โข Share two (2) โteaserโ sentences from somewhere on that page
โข BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesnโt give too much away! You donโt want to ruin the book for others!)
โข Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teasers today are from
X
by
SUE GRAFTON
X: The number ten. An unknown quantity. A mistake. A cross. A kiss.
X: The shortest entry in Websterโs Unabridged. Derived from Greek and Latin and commonly found in science, medicine, and religion. The most graphically dramatic letter. Notoriously tricky to pronounce: think xylophone.
X: The twenty-fourth letter in the English alphabet.
Sue Graftonโs X: Perhaps her darkest and most chilling novel, it features a remorseless serial killer who leaves no trace of his crimes. Once again breaking the rules and establishing new paths, Grafton wastes little time identifying this sociopath. The test is whether Kinsey can prove her case against him before she becomes his next victim.
TEASER 1
When it comes to work, it isnโt so much what we do or how much weโre paid; itโs the satisfaction we take in doing it.
TEASER 2
When I passed the front desk on my way out, Kim Bass, Receptionist, was nowhere to be seen. This was fortunate, as I was so irritated with the way sheโd treated me, I might have bitten her on the arm. Iโd been a biter as a kid and I can still remember the feel of flesh between my teeth. Itโs like biting a rubber bathing cap, in case youโre curious.

Thank you!
Great teases. I am behind on her series.
This is my first time reading her work.
I've read some of the "alphabet" books by Sue Grafton and enjoyed them. This sounds like another winner.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

I know my husband wishes the first teaser were true for him. He hates his job so there isn't much satisfaction there. ๐ I am looking forward to reading this book quite a bit.
Great teasers, sounds like a very cool read.
