I have heard nothing but great things about the Night Huntress series. Although I love the genre I never got around to dabbling my feet into this world. Now after reading several rave reviews from fellow bloggers on 🎧︎Halfway to the Grave, I felt it was time to give this series a trial run. Final Verdict, awesome! Not sure why I waited so long to visit this world, but now I am glad I did.Â

Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unholy partnership.
In exchange for finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner—are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her newfound status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side... and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.

Reading this book contributed to these challenges:
Ah, Cat & Bones. I read the first 3 or 4 books and really need to go back. Good to know the audiobooks are good.
There is something about Graphic Audio that really delivers something so much more right? I still need to listen to this in graphic audio though, I want to and soon. I did enjoy this one quite a bit when I first read it and so happy to see that you loved it as well!
Lovely review Nadene!
I’m so glad you read it. I wish you could have done the Read-along with us this past year. I love the humor and action and characters of this series. I had only read the Cat & Bones and not the Vlad or Ian series. We have finished through the Vlad books and are on to the Ian books for January. It’s not a perfect series but a longtime favorite of mine and funny. I have not tried the graphic audio and I’d love to do that.
I am sorry I missed the read-along, but time did not permit. I am looking forward to the other books as well as the spin-off series.
This series hit me over the head from the start and I had a blast with it. Oh wow, I really must try a dramatized story soon.
I can see why you had a blast. Loved my introduction to the world.
I’ve always thought these looked fun but I don’t read a lot of urban fantasy (why is beyond me since I love the idea of spooky creatures living amonsgt us!). After reading your review it sounds even better! And I love monster hunters. 🙂
I love this series! I have read it and listened to the book read by Tavia Gilbert. I bet this version is even better!
I’ve actually read this one. I liked it but never kept up with the series. I should get back into it.
Wow, this looks like a promising start to an exciting new series!
