 NetGalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge

I did pretty well on this challenge in 2017 and decided to try it again in 2018. I have a few eArcs from both Netgalley and Edelweiss I need to get through so this challenge provides me with the perfect opportunity to do so.
The 2018 NetGalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge is hosted by Katrina @ Bookish Things.
2018 NetGalley and Edelweiss Challenge Guidelines
The challenge will run from Jan 1, 2018 – Dec 31, 2018.
Anyone is welcome to join. You do not need to be a blogger, just post your reviews and come back every month to link them up.
Any genre, release date, request date, length, etc. counts so long as it came from Edelweiss or Netgalley.
At the beginning of each month there will be a roundup post for you to add your reviews.
If you forget to link up one month it’s not a problem just add your reviews next month.
If you would like to move up or down levels that is completely fine and at your discretion.
If you have any questions tweet Katrina @BookishThings or e-mail her at katrina@bookisthingsandmore.com!
Hashtag: #NGEW2018
Bronze – 10 Books
Silver – 25 Books
Gold – 50 Books
Platinum – 75 Books
Diamond –  100 Books

I am aiming for the silver level once again, but this time I will try to read 35 books.

The New Release Challenge, a year-long challenge is hosted by LEXXIE @ (UN)CONVENTIONAL BOOKVIEWS , in which we aim to read books released in 2018.
 2018 New Release Challenge rules:

Books have to be released and reviewed in 2018.

Other challenges can be used as well, if you are participating in the Netgalley / Edelweiss challenge or in the COYER challenge, books can count towards more than one challenge, as long as the ones you use for the 2018 New Release Reading Challenge qualify to the other rules.

The minimum length for a book to qualify is 100 pages, it can be in any format though, physical, e-book, ARC or audiobook.

The New Book Release Challenge is open from January 1st through December 31st 2018, and sign-ups are open until September 1st 2018.

You don’t have to be a blogger to participate, you can link to your review on Goodreads or Booklikes instead – so don’t be shy!

I exceeded my goal of 60 books in 2017 so for 2018
I am aiming for 80: New Release Veteran

Blogger Shame Challenge, which runs for the entire year is hosted by Anna @Herding Cats and Burning Soup

I did not do so well on this challenge in 2017. However, I have decided to try it again.

If you’ve been blogging a while you have it…
A Blogger Shame pile.

All those review books that somehow slipped through the cracks and just didn’t get reviewed when they should have.

This is just a fun way of making it right and getting those old review copies reviewed.

Review books must be at least 4 months past due to count!

You can create a specific list of titles to tackle or just a generic number of titles to complete (ex I’ll finish 12 reviews)

Any format you accept the review copy counts.

I am aiming for 30 books.
A tad bit ambitious, but I am still going to try. Wish me luck.

Author Love

Welcome to the Author Love Challenge 2018. This is, by far, our most low-key challenge. We started it late last year and even though I don’t think either Michelle or I made our goal, I know I came a lot closer to finishing off my author and for that I’m thrilled! We hope you’ll join us in giving that special author some love!

The Rules
Pick an author that you love and wish you’d read more of their books.

Set a goal to read x number of books by that author by the end of the year. You can make your goal to read all their books. You can read at least five books from the author’s list.

Announce your participation, author, and goal in a blog post, goodreads post, FB post.

Sign up by December 1, 2018.

The author I am choosing for this challenge is Cynthia Eden. I plan to read least one book per month.

Created by Herding Cats & Burning Soup

A blogging prompt challenge. Each month a new prompt to interpret as you like.

If the prompt is BLUE you could…
–make a blueberry cobbler
–review a book with a blue cover
–interview an author who’s name has blue in it
–discuss how you break out of a ‘blue’ mood
–share blue photos you’ve taken

It’s incredibly flexible but also a good way to spread your blogger wings.

I think it’ll be fun to see how differently people decide to blog about the exact same prompt.

Sign up (here)

I love the idea for this challenge. I’m looking forward to taking part. The prompts are a challenge, but that is what makes it fun.

January– Winter
February– Red
March– Favorite Scent
April– Art
May– Organize
June– Growl
July– Spirit
August– Beginning
September– Escape
October– Trees
November– Truth
December– Shine/Sparkle
