My Book Beginnings:
Today I decided to post my Book Beginnings and Friday 56 on
Forever Marked byJesse Lorenzo . I read this book as part of the Quirky Blind Date . I found it to be intense, gripping and suspenseful.

Now was her chance. She took advantage of the momentary distraction gifted to her and wrenched herself from his vice-like grip. Fighting him off, she clawed her way to her feet. Her short nails ripped painfully in her effort to get away. Mustering up all the strength she had, she raced to get out of the tiny room. She didn’t get very far, her momentum suddenly halted when she felt a punching blow and then a dragging pain slash down her back. She shrieked out as the intense burning sensation traveled through every nerve in her body. Only then did she realize that her flesh had been flayed opened , exposed.
Wow! This beginning was intense and it definitely made me want to find out what was going to happen next.

Ellora just shrugged; it had always been hard for her to ask someone for help, or let them see her vulnerability. She didn’t like feeling helpless. Plus, how would she bring up that subject? ‘Hi, my name’s Ellora. I’m homeless, I was almost killed, and oh yeah, check out this bodacious scar on my back. Isn’t she a beaut?’
