Melody considers herself lucky that she has already found love once in a lifetime. Her love story, however, abruptly came to an end; all hope of finding love again disappeared the day she lost Jack.

Jack knows that Melodyโ€™s heart is big enough to give love a second chance, the challenge lies in helping her meet just the right man. Not sure if heโ€™s an angel or a ghost, Jack finds himself searching for a man to make Melody feel alive once more. He had no idea how difficult it would be to face his conflicting emotions while finding this man. To top it off, he only has until Christmas Eve at midnight to help Melody fall in love.

I am not generally into the habit of reading books about
dead spouses returning to help their other half get through the grieving
process. Why, you ask? Frankly I find these type of stories clichรฉd and
somewhat creepy. Yea! I know it sounds strange from someone who loves the
paranormal genre. However, there was something about this book that just kept
calling to me to give it a chance.
If You Believe was an emotional read. It was heart wrenching
and it brought tears to my eyes.
Although Jack is a ghost I could feel his pain and anguish as he tried
to help Melody move on and to take a second chance on love.  He is trying to find the man he thinks would be perfect for Melody
but at the same time he is unable to let go.  The method
chosen to achieve this purpose involved him returning as someone that she would
not recognize. What followed is a series of mishaps that had me laughing one
minute and crying the next.  Will Jack achieve his goal of
finding someone for Melody? Will he be able to stand by and watch her fall in
love again?
Melody
was not interested in moving on. She believed that moving on would mean that
she would be betraying Jack.  This
attitude helped to make Jackโ€™s work more difficult than he had expected.  Itโ€™s easy to relate to Melody as losing
someone is never easy to get over.
This was
a sweet and adorable read. I felt compelled to keep turning the pages as I
wanted to see the outcome. If you love holiday romance and you are looking for
something light and entertaining then If You Believe would be perfect for you.
