TEASER TUESDAY # 5

Posted on February 24, 2015 by Nadene @ Totally Addicted to Reading in Reviews / 11 Comments

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

MY TEASER
Cavanaugh checked his watch. The coloured lights above the bar of Underworld flashed across the glass face in time with the thumping music, but didn’t stop him from seeing what he wanted. It was gone midnight. Four years and three hundred and fifty seven days had passed. In eight days, with the rising of the full moon, he would be a man without status.
He couldn’t wait. It felt as if this moment had been too long coming, as if he had been waiting an eternity for it to pass. Pride politics and all the bullshit that came with the territory would cease to exist.

  1. I don't believe I have read any of Felicity's books. I'm sorry, but the covers turn me off. I keep seeing abs everywhere. I hope you are enjoying it.

  2. It's interesting, but I don't know if it's for me or not. At least, it raises enough questions for to check it out on Goodreads. *ready to click*

  3. I don't often read novels with a male protagonist, but I really like the way the author describes Cavanaugh's persona in this teaser. I hope you're enjoying your read! Thanks for visiting with me too! 🙂
