His only driving force is to protect himself and his fellow prisoners from
further harm. When a beautiful angel appears in his cell, heโ€™s inexplicably
drawn to her, and desire burns between them. Yet, he fears that succumbing to
his passion will only lead to ruin.

But rebellion is
brewing among the angels, and shocking betrayals have dire consequences. Can
Max and Ana protect their hearts and their eternal love?

I was first introduced to Micah Persell when I read Of Eternal
Life, the first book in the  Operation:
Middle of the Garden series. Since then I have read  the other two books in the series. I enjoyed
the series and became invested in it as such I was thrilled to receive a
complimentary copy of the fourth book.

Of Alliance and Rebellion is a great addition to this exciting
and unique series.  Ms. Persellโ€™s take on
angels, their interaction with humans and the portrayal of the tree of Eternal
Life and the tree of Knowledge of good and evil make for a unique and
interesting read.  She has the ability to
grab her readerโ€™s attention from the very first page.

This installment tells the story of Max Wright and Anahita.  Max is a soldier who was deceived into eating
the fruit from the tree of Etenal Life which made him immortal.  Anahita is the angel who is given the mission
to kill Max and his friends. (Death was their punishment for eating from the
tree).   There was, however a major obstacle to her
mission. Max was her temptation and the instant she laid eyes on him her
conflict began. She was torn between her mission and her feelings. Will she be
able to fulfill her mission or will she yield to her temptation?

Max is a tortured soul both physically and emotionally. He is
not your typical romance hero who has the perfect face and body. His face is
badly scarred and he tries his best to hide it from persons he comes in contact
with. The authorโ€™s descriptive style of writing allows readers to picture the
unspeakable horrors that he went through.
The moment he lays eyes on Anahita he knew he was in deep trouble. Will
he be able to resist her or will he give into his feelings?

The romance is well written. The lovemaking scenes
are spicy, steamy, sizzling and tastefully written.  The writing style is smooth and descriptive
which makes for an easy read.
Overall, this was an entertaining read and I canโ€™t wait to see
what next the author has in store for this series.

DISCLOSURE:
