Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of MizB of A Daily Rhythm.. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today’s teaser is from
Dai’s Dark Valentine

I could not decide which one to post so I posted two teasers.
Monsieur Beaucoup glared at her. “Dream on, miss puss. Nobody said anything about you submitting to anything but a marriage in name only. I am not that desperate.”
(Kindle Locations 153-154).
She sat up straight, feigning courage she did not feel. “Papa, when you told me what you wanted, you never said anything about him. I know I am older than most unmarried women, but I thought I would have a choice of suitors. You know, like other French ladies, not that you would sell me to the highest bidder without my say or approval, and you certainly should not have told him our family secret.”
(Kindle Locations 161-163).
WHAT DO YOU THINK? ARE YOU INTERESTED IN FINDING OUT MORE?

Sounds interesting! My teaser this week comes from the latest in a science fiction series I adore – Dragon in Exile by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller. Happy reading!
I'm definitely curious about the family secret! Good Teasers.
My Tuesday post features Nobody’s Cuter Than You.
Thank you.
Hhmm, I'm intrigued although I'm wondering what all this submission and selling off talk is about. If I was her I'd probably be kicking up a storm by now! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I hope you have a great week and that I see you at ABEA!

Thanks for visiting. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Her dad sounds like an ass. He practically sold his daughter to the man who could probably still save their family/business/legacy/fortune whatsoever. And the hero sounds like an ass. I feel so bad for the heroine.
