Having experienced RC Boldt’s work in the past, I eagerly anticipated reading “He Loves Me Knot.” In this story, Boldt explores the second chance love trope, along with themes of forgiveness and healing.

From USA Today bestselling author RC Boldt...
I never looked back after skipping out on my own wedding, even if it did leave me estranged from most of my family. Eight years later, I have the life I’ve always wanted. As an advertising account executive, my world is damn near perfect.
Until I come face-to-face with my past. With the man I once loved. The man who holds my future in his hands. The man who’s hell-bent on getting even with me for leaving him at the altar.
Even with all the unfinished business between us, I still love Knox Montgomery. The only problem?
He loves me…KNOT.

R.C. Boldt is quickly becoming one of my must-read authors. Her stories are captivating, emotional, and entertaining, and “He Loves Me Knot” is a testament to that. Meet Emma Jane Haywood and Knox Montgomery, who were madly in love with each other since their high school days. They were set to get married, but a misunderstanding led to Emma Jane becoming a runaway bride. This decision changed the trajectory of her life. Her career took off, and she became best friends with famous quarterback Beckett Jones. Eight years later, Knox takes over the company where Emma Jane works, making him her boss, and this is where the fun begins.

I fell in love with their romance. It amused me to see Knox falling effortlessly to his knees by the mere sight of Emma Jane. He initially sought revenge but soon realized he lacked the heart for it. Both tried to protect their hearts, yet they could not deny their feelings for one another. Their connection was both sweet and passionate.

Knox and Emma Jane were both wonderful characters. The reader got the chance to see their lives in the past, experiencing just how much they truly loved each other. The flashbacks also helped the reader get to know them as young adults. Throughout the story, Boldt kept me wondering why Emma Jane left Knox at the altar. The big reveal was unexpected. Some readers might find it disappointing, thinking that communication could have solved the issue. However, considering their level of maturity at the time, the failure to communicate was not surprising.

I greatly appreciated Emma’s platonic relationship with Beckett. He entered her life at a time when she most needed a friend, and from there, a lifelong friendship blossomed. Their mutual care and respect were evident, making it easy to admire Beckett. His role in bringing Emma and Knox together was pivotal, and he undoubtedly stole the show. I eagerly anticipate reading his story.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading “He Loves Me Knot” and highly recommend it to fans of second chance romance.
