Dakota
Annabelle Stewart, all tight leather skirt and hot lace panties, thundered into my life for one night after a rock show and calmly drove away the next day. She should have been like any other one-night stand I’ve had over the last ten years touring with Balefire. But she wasn’t. At odd moments, I catch myself thinking about her, wondering if I made as big an impression on her as she did on me.
Then I walk into the rehearsal for our drummer’s wedding, and who’s standing with the bride? The hottie who keeps me awake with thoughts of our one night together. Beautiful, smart, and sassy as hell, Annabelle sets me on fire with her kisses and leaves me hanging. But I’ve got plans for her.
Annabelle
I never expected to see him again. Two years after hooking up with Dakota Perri after a Balefire concert, I’d convinced myself that night was a fantasy. But the way he looks at me during Jack and Clio’s wedding, like he remembers every second of our one-night stand, lights me up. Too bad I blew it.
Then I score an management internship with the band, an opportunity guaranteed to land me a scholarship with a top graduate program—if I don’t earn a reputation for sleeping my way to success. Which is a problem. I see Dakota every day. Every time we’re together, the sparks fly faster and hotter. If I want to achieve my goals, I have to resist him. But how can I resist a man as panty-meltingly hot as Dakota Perri when he says he’s wild for me?

📚Wild For Me features Annabelle Stewart and Dakota Perri. Annabel, a recent college graduate, is hoping to secure an internship to increase her chance of admission to an MBA program. It so happens her favorite band is Balefire, and one of her fantasies was to spend one night in the arms of the hot lead guitarist. Two years ago, she fulfilled this fantasy and never expected their paths to cross again. However, the nuptials of her best friend, to the drummer for Balefire, paved the way for their paths to cross again. She knows she should stay away, but the opportunity to intern as a marketing assistant for the band sealed her fate.

Dakota is the lead guitarist for Balefire. Female fans are always throwing themselves at him and he aims to please. Not one for commitment, he never sleeps with the same woman more than once. But that was until he met Annabelle, the one woman who had the power to make him rethink his stance on commitment. If only he could convince her she was not another notch on his bedpost.

Although I enjoyed the story, it’s not one one I am likely to re-read. It served its intended purpose, which was to keep me entertained. In this story, none of the main characters has an interest in a committed relationship. However, when love came knocking, they had no choice but to open the door and take a leap.

I enjoyed getting to know Dakota and Annabelle as individuals. They are both ambitious and hardworking and not afraid to pursue their dreams. Further light was shed on the reason for Dakota’s fear of commitment. A reason, which would certainly have an adverse effect on a young child. Now I was not a fan of the romance which developed between them. It would seem sex was the  glue that held their relationship together. I wished they gave the same energy to communicating that they gave to sex. If they did, then I am sure the complication which arose near the end would have been avoided. Unfortunately, I did not have an emotional connection to the romance.

It was a pleasure catching up with most of the characters from the previous books. The issue regarding the band’s manager reared its ugly head once again, resulting in a new host of problems and it would seem no steps were taken to address it. So, like the previous book 📚Wild For Me, ended with unresolved issues.

📚Wild For Me delivered a steamy and entertaining tale, which would appeal to fans of romance featuring rock stars.

About Tam Derudder Jackson

Tam DeRudder Jackson is the author of the paranormal romance Talisman Series and the contemporary romance Balefire Series. Her favorite “room” in her house is her patio where she dreams up stories of romance and risk. When she’s not writing her latest paranormal or contemporary romance, you can find her driving around in her convertible with the top down or carving turns on the slopes of the local ski hill. The mom of two grown sons, Tam likes to travel, attend rock concerts, watch football and soccer, and visit old car shows with her husband. She lives in the mountains of northwest Wyoming where she spends most of her free time trying to read all the books. Her TBR piles are threatening to take over her office, and she’s fine with that.
