“Darkly sensual, rich with emotion, a wild unsettling ride.”—Christine Feehan, New York Times bestselling author

He’s the man of her dreams

A long time ago, Zander Lorens was cursed to walk the earth stripped of his Dragon Clan powers. Every night, trapped in a recurring nightmare, Zander relives his darkest moment. He can hardly believe it when the dream changes and a beautiful young woman appears. Zander believes she’s the key to ending his torment. Finding her in the real world is one thing, but how will he convince her of who—and what—she really is?

She’s the end to his nightmare

Rena McHale uses her unique sensitivity as a private investigator, touting herself as a “human divining rod” and finder of the lost. By day she struggles with sensory overload, and by night her sleep is haunted by a fiery dragon shifter. Nothing in her life makes sense, until the man from her dreams shows up at her door with a proposition…

Sara Humphreys is the award-winning author of paranormal and contemporary romance including shapeshifter and vampire stories, and contemporary romance about firefighters, police officers, and K9 cops. GUEST POST
Like most authors, I started out as a reader and once I discovered the works of Christine Feehan, I became a devout paranormal romance reader. Her novel, DARK PRINCE, brought me into a fantastic genre that I hadn’t ever heard of before. Once I finished all of the books she had available at the time, I went in search of other supernatural tales of love and redemption.
I’ve always been driven by the need to create. I was an actor before I was a writer. As an actor, I got to step inside someone else’s life. It was a thrill to say and do things I would never utter in my own life. I adored being cast as the villain because they seemed to be the most interesting roles with all kinds of nooks and crannies to delve into.
Through high school and college, I would write short stories and even attempted a full novel or two but I didn’t dare try to publish any of them. Most people didn’t even know that I did it and I never dreamed that I would eventually become a published writer.
My “acting career” never really took off. I worked here and there on some of the NYC soap operas but nothing major. Soon after college, I got married and started a family. Raising four boys took precedence over pretty much everything else but about ten years ago, I felt like I was missing something.  After much soul searching, I realized that I needed a creative outlet in order to stay sane in my house full of dudes. So I got back to my roots and started writing again.
It became my escape and fed my creative soul, which I fondly refer to as the beast.
I wrote a story that I would want to read. I think most authors do that. We write what we love. My favorite genre is paranormal romance and that’s what got my creative juices flowing.
The original draft of my first completed novel was dreadful. Seriously, it sucked swamp water. Then I edited and edited some more and more and more. By the time I had a “final” draft, I thought that someone else might really enjoy itand the Amoveo Legend series was born.
UNDISCOVERED is my nineteenth published work and in many ways, I feel it’s my best book yet. However, I hope my twentieth novel is even better because I want to be better. People often ask me if writing has gotten any easier and they’re usually surprised by my answer. It’s not easier. In fact, each book is harder to write than the one before it.
Maybe it’s because of what I’ve learned? Maybe it’s because I’m too critical of myself? Maybe it’s because I really care about my readers and I want to give them the best possible story I can? The truth is that it’s all of these reasons and more.
My first book, UNLEASHED Amoveo Legend #1), is not my best book but it is the book of my heart.  So, if you’re thinking of writing a book, I would tell you to write the book of your heart. Write what you love and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t. To paraphrase the great Nora Roberts, Put your butt in the chair and write because you can’t edit a blank page.
Feed your beast and fuel your passion, for it will ignite your spirit and invigorate your soul.
