The Hidden Legacy series introduced me to the world of Ilona Andrews and it was an exciting and awesome journey. After this amazing experience I look forward to reading more from this awesome duo.
It is rare to find a series, at least from my experience, which maintains the momentum from the first book. The Hidden Legacy series falls within this category.  The series gets better with each installment.
Wildfire, the third book in the series, picked up from where White Hot left off. We see Nevada tackling a new case, which involves Rogan’s ex-fiancée.  Her husband is missing, and she hired Nevada to locate him. In addition, Nevada’s paternal grandmother, wants her be a part of the House of Tremaine.  However, she underestimated her strength. Nevada has proven a worthy adversary.
Like the previous installments, there was nonstop action. The Andrews team kept me on my toes as they took me deeper into the power struggle among the Primes.  The introduction of new and deadly characters, intent on bringing down Nevada and Rogan, made for an exciting and thrilling read.  Conspiracies, danger and betrayal were the order of the day.
Further insights were provided into the Baylor family history. There is more to Nevada and her family than meets the eye.  I enjoyed learning more about this amazing family. It was great seeing her siblings and cousins embracing their magic. She and her family  is forced to come out of hiding.  With the recent events, it has become impossible for them to keep their magic hidden. Nevada never ceases to amaze me. This woman is strong, determined and knows how to kick ass.
The romance between Nevada and Rogan intensifies. Their love for each other was strong. It withstood all the obstacles thrown at it. I loved how Nevada trusted Rogan’s love for her. She may have felt tinge of jealousy where his ex- fiancee was concerned, but never once did she feel threatened by her.  I loved that Rogan treated her with the respect she deserved. No matter much he wanted to keep her out of the fray of the violence, he respected her enough to stand aside and allow her to play her part.
I enjoyed the humorous dialogue. The pace and writing were well done and the characters well-developed.
Conclusion/Recommendation
This was said to be final book in the series, but as the identity of the mastermind behind the struggle for power among the Primes was not revealed and the details provided in the epilogue, the possibility exists that another Book is in the making. I sure hope that this is the case as I would love to have more from this awesome cast of characters.

About Ilona Andrews

Ilona Andrews is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.) Gordon and Ilona currently reside in Oregon with their two children, three dogs and a cat. They have co-authored two series, the bestselling urban fantasy of Kate Daniels and romantic urban fantasy of The Edge.
