Review: White Knight by Meghan March

OMG, Meghan March sure knows how to weave a tale of intrigue and romance. Once again, she has delivered a story that was not only engaging, but also exciting, suspenseful and full of passion. She whetted my appetite with Black Sheep and satisfied my hunger with White Knight.

Drew and Cannon may just be my favourite Meghan March couple, and that is saying a lot, because they are all awesome. I enjoyed their interaction with each other, which was sexy and laced with humour. Cannonโ€™s protective nature shined in this installment. The lengths to which he would go to protect those he cared about knew no bounds. Despite his show of strength, his vulnerability revealed itself occasionally.

Drew will learn that things are never usually, as they appear. She also discovered shocking truths about herself. I sure never saw that one coming. March provided no warnings before dropping that bombshell. Drewโ€™s conflicting emotions because of the shocking revelation jumped off the pages.

White Knight may not have been suspenseful as it predecessor, but it still had the ability to keep me on the edge of my seat as it had some exciting scenes. There were moments when I wondered if Drewโ€™s identity would be revealed, subsequently placing her in danger. There were also moments where I worried about Cannon. Would his love for Drew place him in harmโ€™s way?

I loved how the author delved into the world of the Mafia in this installment. I learnt a lot about the Casso family. She highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of being a part of this world.

Narration
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York collaborated on this recording. My first experience with their work was with Black Sheep, and I thought they did an excellent job then. This time was no different. I thought they captured the tone of the story well and it was a pleasure listening to them both.

Conclusion / Recommendation
Overall, a great story and one I would recommend to fans of the author, and for readers who love spicy and suspenseful romance.

It’s great that you enjoyed the Dirty Mafia duet! I loved Black Sheep but couldn’t get into White Knight. It didn’t grab me like the first part did. But I often struggle with the second part in duets.
